Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Pro Steel is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the liaison between Project Managers and Field Teams to help ensure successful project execution from start to finish. This role supports construction and steel fabrication projects by coordinating field activities, managing project documentation, maintaining communication between teams, and helping keep projects on schedule, within quality standards, and operating safely.

• Act as the liaison between Project Managers and Field Teams
• Oversee erection crews and field activities
• Coordinate field measurements and project information
• Review project drawings, contracts, and specifications
• Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
• Communicate daily with field teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Resolve field issues and help develop practical solutions
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
• Ensure quality standards and safety requirements are met
• Provide ongoing support to Project Managers throughout all phases of the project

• 3+ years of experience in construction, steel fabrication, or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications
• Ability to read blueprints and erection drawings;
  Bluebeam experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused
• Degree not required; equivalent experience and industry knowledge will be considered
