Hours: Part-time (Friday, Satuday & Sunday: 5:00AM to 3:30PM)

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMCOur Environmental Services Technicians keep FCMC sterile, clean, and orderly; specifically, this position focuses on laundry duties, enabling residents to be their most clean and comfortable and allowing the facility to run smoothly. These responsibilities include:
- Gathering soiled linens, resident clothing, and any other laundry
- Pre-washing, washing, folding, sorting, and storing laundry in assigned areas
- Keeping the laundry and linen area clean and orderly
- Reporting any needed repairs
- Taking initiative to assist with housekeeping in other areas of the facility
- Complying with universal precautions, using safety protective equipment provided
- Communicating information, responding to requests, and building rapport within the housekeeping department and other departments
- Adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations in order to protect patients and fellow employees
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- A service-minded work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to adapt to change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to interact effectively with people who have widely differing backgrounds
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

- Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision and color vision, and ability to see and read information labels and identify and operate equipment and supplies
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms containing power cords on the floor and other equipment
