CNC Machine Operator

Serve as a key member of Pro Steel's fabrication team by operating CNC equipment used to process structural and miscellaneous steel components. This position plays a critical role in ensuring steel parts are fabricated accurately, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Operate CNC fabrication equipment including beam lines, drill lines, plasma tables, saws, and other automated machinery
• Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, work orders, and production schedules
• Set up materials and tooling required for production
• Verify dimensions and tolerances of completed parts
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
• Stage and move material safely throughout the fabrication process
• Maintain production records and report any issues impacting schedule or quality
• Assist with material handling and organization within the shop
• Work closely with Production, Shipping, and Quality Control personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Identify equipment, programming, or material issues and communicate them promptly

• CNC machine operating experience preferred
• Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, machining, or construction preferred
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication documents
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience using measuring tools and verifying dimensions
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Self‑motivated and dependable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production environment
