Children's Residential - 2 bed and 1 bed EBD homes
Shift Pattern: 3 on 3 off (10pm-10am)
Do you have experience supporting children in residential care and the resilience to make a real difference through the night?
Brook Street Social Care is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established children's residential service, recruiting Waking Night Support Workers for their 2 and 1 bedded children's homes in Preston, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
Responsibilities- As a Waking Night Support Worker, provide a safe, calm and nurturing environment during night hours.
- Support young people with emotional regulation and wellbeing.
- Uphold safeguarding standards and complete night-time routines.
- Respond confidently to incidents and maintain appropriate boundaries.
- Previous experience working in a children's residential home
- Experience supporting children with EBD
- A full UK driving licence – ESSENTIAL
- Calm, resilient and confident approach
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and boundaries
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
Please note:
applications without residential childcare experience and a driving licence cannot be considered.
- £15 per waking hour
- Potential to earn performance bonus per annum
- Ongoing support with the opportunity to complete Level 4 qualification
