Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider in supporting children and young people. This Support Worker role in Preston offers a unique opportunity to be part of establishing a nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive. This position is on day shifts and is either 20 or 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people aged 8 to 18 with Autistic Spectrum and complex needs.
  • Assist in creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for residents.
  • Support children and young people in developing life skills, independence, and confidence.
  • Follow individual care plans and contribute to their ongoing development.
  • Participate in rota shifts, including early, late, and sleep-in duties.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with team members and families.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • No specific qualifications are required, but a passion for helping children and young people is vital.
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, covering early and late shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and a caring, empathetic approach.
  • Willingness to undertake DBS and reference checks in line with government regulations.
