HGV Technician – Preston

Pay: £20.00 per hour + Mobile Call Out Enhancements

Hours: 4 on 4 off, Days

Shift: 7:00am – 7:00pm

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI).

We're looking for an HGV Technician to join our team in Preston. This role offers a fantastic 4 on 4 off day shift pattern with additional earning potential through a 1 in 4 call‑out rota, paying £25 per night plus 1.25x hourly rate for call‑out hours.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
• Conduct safety inspections and MOT preparations
• Complete all job cards and paperwork accurately
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
• Option to participate in 1 in 4 call‑out rota for emergency repairs

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to participate in call‑out rota

• £20.00 per hour basic rate
• 1 in 4 call‑out rota – £25 per night + 1.25x hourly rate
• OTE up to £52,500+ per year with call‑outs
• 4 on 4 off day shifts (7am‑7pm)
