Alecto Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading plant hire and construction machinery specialist in the Preston area. Our client is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their workshop and field service team - working on some of the biggest names in construction equipment: JCB, Kubota, Bomag, Hamm, Terex, Hitachi, Volvo and Yanmar.

• £41,000 basic salary - a genuinely strong basic for a 45-hour week
• Overtime paid at 1.5x your hourly rate - your extra hours actually count

• Fault finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs across a range of construction machinery
• Site-based work as well as depot-based work
• Workshop hours 7:30am-5:00pm when not out on site
• Accurate completion of job sheets and service paperwork - you take pride in doing it right first time

• A time-served Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or Construction Equipment Technician with hands-on fault-finding experience
• Strong hydraulics, diesel engine, and electrical diagnostic knowledgeA full UK driving licence
• Someone who takes ownership, communicates well with customers, and gets the job done properly
