Electrician

We’re looking for experienced Electricians to join an important project at Prestwick Airport. This is an 8‑week opportunity ideal for qualified local professionals who can start quickly. Offering competitive hourly rates plus overtime, it’s a great chance to work on a well‑respected site.

Salary:

Approved Electricians:
  • Basic: £21.19 + £2.98 holiday pay = £24.17 per hour
  • Overtime 1.5: £31.79 + £3.84 holiday pay = £35.63
  • Overtime 2: £42.38 + £5.12 holiday pay = £47.50
Graded Electricians:
  • Basic: £19.54 + £2.74 holiday pay = £22.28 per hour
  • Overtime 1.5: £29.31 + £3.54 holiday pay = £32.85
  • Overtime 2: £39.08 + £4.72 holiday pay = £43.80
Location and Working Pattern:
  • Site:
    Prestwick Airport
  • Duration:
    Approximately 8 weeks
  • Weekly hours: 38 hours
  • Expected start:
    Week commencing 14th September 2026
Client Overview

Our client is delivering essential works at Prestwick Airport and needs skilled Electricians to ensure this project is completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Install cable containment systems
  • Carry out cabling work to specification
  • Perform glanding and terminating of cables
  • Complete electrical installations and maintenance
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings
  • Adhere to safety processes and compliance policies
  • Report progress and issues to the site supervisor
  • Check and test completed work for quality
Must‑have Requirements
  • Valid ECS/JIB Card (front and back copies)
  • Relevant, up‑to‑date electrical certifications
  • Proven experience in similar electrical installation duties
  • Ability to work to deadlines and safety standards
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Experience on large infrastructure or airport projects
  • Additional electrical certifications
