UP Professional and Support Administrative Officer:
Furniture (Campus Planning and Development Division) Responsibilities
- Dealing with client enquiries related to furniture
- Issuing store furniture
- Performing administrative tasks, including the coordination of furniture repairs
- Relevant National 3-year Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in Office Administration, Furniture or Interior Retail, and Procurement; OR
- Grade 12 with at least 4 years’ experience in Office Administration, Furniture or Interior Retail, and Procurement
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of furniture retailing, procurement, and basic financial principles
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships to encourage and support communication and teamwork
- Ability to explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely
- Ability to use appropriate interpersonal skills and methods to reduce tension and resolve conflict
- At least 2 years’ experience in an institute of higher education
- Relevant bachelor’s degree

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
