Our international, well established client in the Defense Industry is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their well-established company and further their footprint and market share. Their goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales, developing products and solutions and forging strong relationships with clients. They will be at the front of the company and will have to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
For them to excel in this role, you should have a hunger to chase and close new business.

- Completed degree
- BEng
- BCom Investment Management
- BCom Accounting Sciences
- BCom Financial Services
- Own reliable transport
- Must be willing to travel internationally
- Must be willing to immigrate
- Must be willing and able to work more than just office hours depending on workload and designated region time differences
- Well presented
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency
- Fluent in English, Afrikaans, Spanish, French
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
- Find and develop new markets and improve sales
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
- Attend conferences, meetings and industry events
- Promote the company's products/services, addressing or predicting clients' objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law‑established rules and guidelines
- Develop goals for the development team and business growth and ensure they are met
- Train personnel and help team members develop their skills
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after‑sales support
- Experience in sales, marketing or related field
- Fast learner
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi‑task
- Adaptability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Societal awareness and sensitivity
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle uncertainty
