A detail-oriented finance professional responsible for day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and executive administrative support within a multi-entity financial services environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial management — daily transaction processing, bank and petty cash reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, and credit card reconciliation. Taxation and compliance — timely submission of VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax returns; CIPC maintenance; employee tax onboarding and off boarding. Financial reporting — preparation of monthly management accounts, broker consultant reports, annual financial statements, and audit support. Executive support — meeting packs, agendas, minutes, and handling confidential matters with discretion.
Stakeholder service — responding to client and stakeholder queries within agreed service levels and maintaining positive relationships. Office administration — maintaining filing systems, managing information flow, and resolving service provider issues. Continuous improvement — participating in process improvement initiatives and maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation.
BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification. Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a similar accounting or financial administration role, preferably in financial services. Registered or eligible for registration with a professional body (SAIPA, SAICA, or equivalent) advantageous.
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar) and MS Office, particularly Excel. Sound knowledge of South African tax legislation (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax Act) and CIPC requirements. Accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume transaction environments. Ability to meet statutory deadlines without prompting. Strong written and verbal communication for executive and stakeholder interaction. Discretion in handling confidential financial and organisational information.
