Research Analyst – Rest of Africa | Listed Equities

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Equity Research / Investment Analyst to join a leading institutional investment environment, focusing on listed investments across the Rest of Africa
.

The successful candidate will conduct fundamental company and market research, develop investment theses and provide well-supported buy/sell recommendations while contributing to the Rest of Africa investment house view.

• B Degree in Commerce, Finance or Science

• 3–5 years' relevant financial markets experience

• Strong listed equity research and fundamental analysis capability

• Proven ability to build, maintain and update financial/valuation models

• Strong understanding of macroeconomics and its impact on companies, sectors and investment portfolios

• Ability to formulate investment theses and make security recommendations

• Strong financial, analytical, numerical and presentation skills

• Willingness and ability to travel across the Rest of Africa

• FAIS RE5, or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of appointment

• Investment management research, investment banking or private equity experience

• Postgraduate qualification/Master's degree

• CFA or CA qualification/progress

Candidates should demonstrate clear exposure to company analysis, valuations, financial modelling and investment recommendations
, preferably within listed equities or public markets.
