Purpose of the Job
The key purpose of this role is to provide professional financial services to a client or a member. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, retaining, and growing a membership and client base for eligible professionals by implementing PPS financial solutions in line with the client's needs.

Scope Of The JobThis is a commission-based long term insurance financial advisor role, a tied agent meeting targets across risk insurance, retirement planning, investments, savings, wills, estate planning and making referrals to the fiduciary services, short term insurance and medical aid business units. The ideal candidate is an experienced and target driven financial planner of a hunter profile, an individual familiar with servicing the degreed professional market holding 4-year or higher qualifications that is PPS' niche market.
It is a tied agency role of own lead generation. We have a competitive risk commission structure with a range of 55% to 100% commission split. An Advisor's performance determines mobility up these risk commission splits. A downward adjusting allowance is paid in the early months plus commission. We provide work tools (laptop with headset and 3G card). The office base is in Lynnwood.
Formal Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant commercial/legal/industry specific NQF level 6 tertiary qualification is preferable
- FAIS recognised NQF level L7 and above qualification is highly advantageous
- RE 5 completed
- Successful completion of supervisory process
- FAIS fit and proper
- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning advantageous
- CFP advantageous
- 3 years' experience in the Financial Services industry in a Sales role within the risk insurance and investment spaces
- 2 years' of Financial Advisory experience
- Life Assurance knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the professional client market
- Experience and track record in high-performance sales environments
- Knowledge of best practice in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory Services
- Knowledge and understanding of financial planning through meaningful client engagements
- Experience in own lead generation and prospecting for clients
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience using a CRM system preferable
- Experience using financial planning software
- Strong sales, interpersonal and business-orientated person with the acumen to build client relationships
- A passion for the financial planning environment

The position is open only to South African citizens
The individual must have a valid driver's license and their own reliable vehicle or access to one
The individual must have clear credit and criminal records
The individual must be FAIS fit, proper and long term insurance accredited - have obtained RE5 within 2 years of DOFA and hold a recognised NQF L5 or higher qualification.
