Position: Head Of Talent & People Development (Sales Focus)

We are looking for an experienced professional to shape the people strategy for a national sales workforce.

The successful candidate will ensure we attract great talent, accelerate employee growth, and build an engaged, high-performance culture.

This role requires a strategic thinker who understands how sales capability, leadership potential, and talent planning drive business success.

Your Key Focus Areas Growing Capability & Future Leaders
  • Identify high-potential talent across the organisation
  • Support career planning and growth conversations
  • Build internal development pathways for critical roles
  • Strengthen leadership readiness and bench depth
Recruitment & Talent Selection
  • Inform hiring decisions using best-practice selection methods
  • Support recruitment strategies for specialised and senior roles
  • Evaluate candidate fit through psychometric and competency-based assessment
  • Ensure quality hiring with measurable outcomes
Culture & Engagement
  • Contribute to building a positive, collaborative working culture
  • Support employee experience and retention initiatives
  • Promote leadership behaviours that reinforce culture
  • Facilitate workshops and engagement activities
Data-Driven Insight
  • Track and interpret talent-related metrics
  • Monitor hiring effectiveness, role-fit, and retention trends
  • Present insights to support strategic decision
  • Use data to highlight risk, opportunity and capability gaps
Partnership with Leadership
  • Work closely with senior managers to understand workforce needs
  • Provide coaching and professional guidance on people matters
  • Align talent activities with business direction
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Master’s degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology
  • HPCSA registration as an Industrial Psychologist
  • Approximately 6+ years’ in talent, organisational psychology, or people development roles
  • Proven ability to interpret psychometric data and behavioural indicators
  • Experience advising leaders on talent decisions & capability planning
