Lexdan Select is assisting a manufacturing company with their search for a Human Resources Manager, based in Bronkhorstspruit.

Salary: R40 000 to R55 000 p.m.

Duties and responsibilities:

Human Resources & Industrial Relations
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding and ensuring sufficient capacity to align to operational requirements.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company objectives.
  • Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and bargaining council agreements.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives.
Health & Safety Management
  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements with specific reference to the OSH act.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across all areas.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain safe operations, particularly around high-risk equipment.
  • Manage deviations from compliance with OSH requirements and ensure appropriate reporting is complied with.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare HR, IR, and HSE reports for management.
  • Monitor and update policies to align with legislative changes.
  • Support audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or similar
  • 8 + years of HR/IR and HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and collective bargaining processes.
  • Proven ability to manage disciplinary hearings, grievances, and union negotiations.
  • Experience with industrial boilers and production safety standards is advantageous.
