Head of Finance MT

Overview

Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is seeking a highly experienced Head of Finance in South Africa to lead all financial matters for our Mineral Technologies (MT) business globally. This hands-on leadership role is based at Pretoria, South Africa and is pivotal in driving financial performance, governance, and strategic growth initiatives across multiple international jurisdictions. You will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, capital management, compliance, treasury, and performance reporting, while leading a global finance team.

This role also includes managing international legal entities, asset financing for equipment and modular plant sales, and spearheading IT and operational systems improvement projects.

• Qualifications
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field, with CA, ACCA, CIMA or SAICA / CA(SA) accreditation.
• Experience
  :
  • Minimum 10 years in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within capital equipment or industrial construction sectors.
  • International experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in asset financing and international business compliance.
  • Strategic planning and execution expertise.
  • ERP system experience (preferably JDE) and prior leadership of IT functions.
