We're looking for: HMR Specialist - Gauteng


* BSc Food Tech / Applied Food Sciences or equivalent with at least 2 years sales experience in the FMCG industry. Willing to travel. Valid driver’s license. Passion for cooking. *

A food ingredient manufacturer requires a HMR (Home Meal Replacement) Specialist to join their team. This position will report to the General Manager Speciality Foods. Key duties will include but not limited to:
- Plan sales calls to ensure a value-added approach.
- Learn and apply client classifications.
- Plan on building market share across all categories.
- Drive and achieve volumes/budget across all company categories.
- Conduct demos and other adhoc activities as required.
- Build on and research product and industry knowledge.
- Work on promotional activity as per guidelines required.
- Build client relationships and ensure service effectiveness.
- Analyse competitor activity and market trends and feedback on market intelligence.
- Submit weekly sales and ADAPT reports by the required deadline.
- Proactively look for new business and market opportunities.
- Manage sales administration and other duties as required.
- Deliveries carried out to company standard where appropriate.
- C-Track in line with company standards.
- Ensure stock levels are monitored.

Key Requirements: Qualification in BSc Food Tech / Applied Food Sciences or equivalent with at least 2 years sales experience in the FMCG industry. Must be willing to travel. Valid driver’s license. Passion for cooking (recipe development or food manufacturing experience preferred). Basic cooking ability for demos and presentations to clients/customers. Able to conduct formal presentations and communicate effectively.

Additional Requirements: Planning and organising ability. Formal presentation ability and business acumen. Customer service orientation, Quality focus and drive. Time management and good communication skills.
