About the Role

As a Salesman, you’ll be the face of the store - assisting walk‑in customers, providing product advice, processing orders, and helping drivers, mechanics, and walk-in customers find the right parts for the right vehicles. Your product knowledge, communication skills, and ability to problem‑solve will directly contribute to branch growth and customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist walk‑in customers with product enquiries and automotive part selections
• Analyse customer needs and recommend suitable solutions
• Upsell and cross-sell product ranges
• Process sales orders accurately on the system
• Provide accurate pricing, stock availability, and warranty information
• Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience
• Verify product compatibility with customer samples or system lookups
• Work closely with internal teams (dispatch, admin, logistics)
• Handle customer queries, returns, and problem‑solving professionally
• Stay up to date on new product ranges and technical developments

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years automotive sales experience (retail parts advantageous)
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive parts and components
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy branch environment
• Positive energy, resilience, and a solutions-driven mindset
• Good computer literacy and order‑processing accuracy
• Matric | Grade 12 is essential
