Are you passionate about building high-performing sales teams and scalable sales channels? Join our Commercial team as a Sales & Channel Development Specialist in Tshwane
, where you’ll play a key national role in strengthening Herotel’s sales capability, developing ambassador-led channels, and translating strategy into consistent, high-impact field execution across Flex Regions.

The key purpose of this role is to uplift sales capability, leadership depth, and channel performance nationally by enabling Area Managers, Sales Coordinators, and Ambassadors through training, coaching, performance interventions, and scalable sales programmes aligned to Herotel’s growth objectives.

What you’ll do:
  • Train, coach, and mentor Area Managers and Sales Coordinators to support local sales teams and ambassador programmes effectively
  • Design and deliver initial ambassador sales training for newly acquired projects in collaboration with Area Managers
  • Support Area Managers with ambassador acquisition during new project launches when required
  • Develop ambassadors into Team Leaders to build leadership depth within field sales teams
  • Deliver national onboarding, retraining, and capability-building programmes to improve sales performance
  • Visit underperforming projects to facilitate team-building, morale upliftment, and cultural alignment
  • Motivate and inspire field teams to improve productivity, customer engagement, and sales outcomes
  • Ensure adoption and reinforcement of the Herotel sales culture across regions
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop incentive models, bonus structures, and ambassador engagement strategies
  • Design, refine, and standardise ambassador and Team Leader onboarding processes, SOPs, and policies
  • Strengthen collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations to ensure aligned execution
  • Ensure national sales and marketing campaigns translate into measurable field results
  • Identify opportunities to grow ambassador networks and strengthen sales channels
  • Design and implement scalable sales models for ambassador recruitment, retention, and productivity
  • Monitor sales and channel performance trends to identify underperformance and implement targeted interventions
  • Create, document, and scale best practices from high-performing projects nationally
What you’ll need:
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales leadership, training, or channel development roles
  • Proven track record in building, training, and managing field sales teams
  • Experience in training delivery, incentive design, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capability
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills

    Strategic thinker with a strong bias for practical execution
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance and plan interventions
  • Resilient, adaptable, and results-focused approach
  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field will be advantageous, or equivalent practical experience
