Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth machine operations continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate
- Inspect drivers , motors, belts , bearings , replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists
- Be able to comply with Food Safety standards
- Assemble, install, and repair, pipe system ans plumbing machinery and equipment on steam and waterlines
- Ensure that the department complies with all Health & Safety regulations
- Diagnose and correct mechanical issues
- Inspect , operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine for malfunctions
- Direct and train workers to install , maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Record maintenance and repair work performed
- Clean and lubricate shafts ,bearings , gears and other parts of machinery
- Manage projects and machine installations
- Grade 12
- 3 Years experience
- Must have Millwright trade test
- 3 - 4 years of post
-trade experience - PLC/VSD drivers experience
- Panel wiring experience
- Ability to priortize workload
- Report writing and analysis on job cards
- Monitoring apprentices
- Must be able to work shifts and be available callouts and standby
- Driver's license with transpot
- Hands on experience with installation , maintenance and repairs of machinery such as mixers , ovens, proofers , conveyors , slicers and packaging equipment
