Purpose Of The Job:
Our client is seeking a Qualified Commercial Vehicle Airbrake Technician to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining air brake systems on trucks and trailers, ensuring optimal safety and compliance standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, fault-finding ability and hands-on experience within the heavy-duty vehicle sector.

- Air Brake Technician
- Trailer Mechanic
- Diesel Mechanic
- Brake & Electrical Fitter
- Diagnose and troubleshoot air brake systems on trucks and trailers
- Replace and repair air valves, air pipes and related components
- Repair and service air compressors
- Repair air brake valves and system components
- Conduct brake performance testing and system inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Advanced fault finding on truck and trailer brake and electrical systems
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM and roadworthy standards
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers)
- Proven experience with air brake systems, ABS and EBS systems
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trade Test (Red Seal / Section 13) OR N3 Mechanical Engineering
- Basic Airbrake – Trailer ABS
- Advanced Airbrake – Trailer EBS
- Advanced Fault Finding – Trucks & Trailers (WABCO training advantageous)
