Maintenance Fitter ​/ Electrical Artisan

SCallaghan Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Electrical Artisan for a well-established manufacturing company based in Pretoria.

This role is suited to a hands-on technical professional with experience maintaining production machinery and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs
Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise production downtime
Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance requirements
Complete maintenance activities according to scheduled requirements
Support equipment reliability and ongoing improvements
Work closely with production and technical teams

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Fitter, Electrical or similar trade qualification
Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience working with press machinery advantageous
Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
Good understanding of preventative maintenance
Ability to interpret technical information and drawings
Strong problem-solving ability
Willingness to work shifts where required
Ability to work at heights where required
