Robot Specialist

A leading organisation within the automotive manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Robot Specialist to join their technical team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician with strong experience in industrial robotics, electrical maintenance and fault finding.

• Repair, maintain and optimise industrial robots to meet quality and production standards.

• Perform preventative maintenance and fault finding in line with maintenance schedules, job cards and work instructions.

• Troubleshoot robotic applications, electrical systems and presses.

• Complete accurate maintenance and repair feedback and documentation.

• Ensure adherence to company procedures, quality systems and work instructions.

• Work in accordance with all SHEQ requirements and actively participate in departmental initiatives.

• NQF Level 6 qualification.

• Qualified Electrician, Millwright, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation professional.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Robot Technician within an automotive manufacturing environment.

• Extensive hands‑on experience with ABB and KUKA industrial robots.

• Strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance capabilities.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic drawings.

• Experience with manufacturing processes and industrial presses.

• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Sound understanding of quality systems and technical maintenance practices.
