Quantum Foods has a career opportunity within its Nova Feeds Division for an Electrician to join their dynamic team.

The above mentioned position will be based at our Feed milling plant in Pretoria North and report directly to the Maintenance Manager. This position will primarily be responsible for electrical maintenance of our feed equipment in the factory and ensuring safe, reliable and efficient plant operation.

• Inspect, install and test electricial circuits, wiring systems, control panels, equiptment and related installations.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out effective repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and maintain fuse boxes circuits, wiring systems and equipment.
• Program, troubleshoot and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
• Conduct electrical inspections and ensure installations comply with the applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the implementation of practical solutions.
• Assist in minimising equipment downtime through preventative maintenance and effective fault finding.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, communicate faults, risks and required corrective action to Maintenance Manager.
• Basic maintenance experience
• 3-5 years experience
• Feed Milling experience be advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
• No fear of heights
• Willing to work shifts and standby
