About the Role
Our client seeks a meticulous and skilled Instrumentation Technician to support operations in Pretoria, Gauteng . This role is essential for ensuring the accurate measurement, control, and monitoring of industrial processes. You will be responsible for installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of instruments, sensors, and control systems. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in electronics, pneumatics, and process control technology, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining operational integrity and safety in a technical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, calibrate, and maintain various industrial instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instrumentation and control systems to ensure process accuracy.
- Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation to prevent failures and optimize performance.
- Read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements within the Gauteng region.
- Collaborate with engineers and operators to identify and implement improvements to instrumentation and control strategies.
- Proven experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial or process-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronic and pneumatic control systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Proficiency in using calibration equipment and diagnostic tools for instruments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and a good understanding of relevant industry standards in Pretoria .
