About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Pretoria . This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of our client's fleet, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and performance standards. You will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of commercial trucks and vans, utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and your extensive mechanical expertise.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and committed to providing high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the seamless operation of the transportation division.

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles.
• Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake system checks.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records and document all work performed on vehicles.
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commercial vehicle technician .
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with heavy vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Experience with various truck brands and models is essential.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license (Code 10 or higher) is advantageous.
