About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to manage and maintain complex electrical infrastructure in Pretoria . This position requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting in an industrial or commercial setting. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate is meticulous, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong technical aptitude for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently, contributing to the operational integrity of Our client's facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and related equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic testing on electrical components to identify faults and potential hazards.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and system failures, troubleshooting issues and implementing timely repairs.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and system performance.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external contractors on projects involving electrical systems.
- NTC 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
- Solid understanding of electrical theory, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with various electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
- Experience with low and high voltage systems is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and ability to work independently in the Pretoria area.
