Field Service Engineer - Power Generation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer with expertise in Power Generation to join their team serving the Pretoria area. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment at client sites across Gauteng and surrounding regions. Your technical skills will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of critical power systems, minimizing downtime, and providing excellent customer support.

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of power generation equipment (e.g., turbines, generators, control systems).
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including mechanical and electrical faults.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment longevity and performance.
• Provide technical support and training to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records, including detailed reports on work performed and parts used.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations while working at customer facilities in and around Pretoria.

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, specifically with power generation equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Gauteng region and work flexible hours as needed.
