Field Installation & Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated Field Installation & Maintenance Technician to join their team based in Pretoria. This role involves a mix of on-site installations and maintenance, supported by remote troubleshooting and diagnostics. You will be responsible for ensuring that our client's systems and equipment are installed correctly, functioning optimally, and maintained according to high standards. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients on-site while also utilizing remote tools for efficient problem-solving, making it an ideal fit for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment combining hands-on tasks with virtual support.

• Perform on-site installations, configurations, and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive servicing of installed equipment.
• Utilize remote diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing on-site visits when possible.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the proper operation and maintenance of systems.
• Document all service activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance performed, in the company's database.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls to ensure minimal downtime for clients.

• Proven experience in a technical installation and maintenance role, with a strong understanding of relevant systems.
• Proficiency with both hands-on technical tasks and remote diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, comfortable interacting with clients on-site and remotely.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Gauteng region for on-site visits.
