Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Electrical Technician to join their operational team in Pretoria . This hands‑on role is crucial for maintaining the electrical systems and machinery that keep their manufacturing processes running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial electrical equipment. Key Responsibilities- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical equipment, including motors, control panels, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose and repair faults.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the commissioning of new electrical installations and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certificate (e.g., N3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems , PLCs, variable speed drives, and instrumentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required by operational needs.
