Position: Female Team Leader Summer 2026 Upward Bound Price Campus

Overview

USU Eastern Upward Bound is a federally funded grant program designed to encourage post-secondary preparation of high school students who are from low-income families and are first-generation college bound students. We serve 63 high school students from Grand, Emery and Carbon counties. During a six-week summer program, up to 30 Upward Bound students experience intensive academic, cultural and social expansion while living in the residence halls at USU Eastern.

The residential team leader will help supervise 4-6 high school students throughout the week and overnight in the residence halls. They will act as mentors and supervisors to the participants of the Upward Bound Summer Program. The summer program will begin approximately May 25 - July
3. Team Leaders will be asked to come for two to three days of some training before the start of the program - dates to be determined once all parties are hired.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity and responsibility to accompany the Upward Bound students on various adventures, and will be required to attend our end of the year trip. This year we will be going to San Diego, CA. All expenses for these trips are included in your compensation and will not cost you anything. All food and housing is included for the duration of the six-week summer program.
