Overview
Instructor will be responsible for all tasks and activities related to course/workshop instruction (variable topics). This includes lesson plans, maintaining student records, tracking grades, clearly communicating expectations and providing feedback to students on their progress. Responsible for all tasks and activities related to the delivery of the course content. Maintain records of student performance, including test administration and posting of all grades into appropriate on-line system if applicable.
Responsible for the management of an effective learning environment, including communication with students through electronic methods as well as in class. Follow approved course curriculum, per college policy, assuring successful completion of identified student learning outcomes. Maintain current industry standards and best practices as appropriate. Demonstrate and support professional commitment to program goals, as well as Division, School and College policies, Mission and Values.
Attend required training and departmental meetings. Give timely feedback to students on assignments, quizzes, exams, projects; clearly communicate expectation related to coursework. Maintain open line of communication with program manager/coordinator. Maintain student records as required by the program (i.e., grades, attendance, waivers, etc.). Adapt curriculum to meet changing industry trends and/or standards. Engage students through classroom discussions and activities. Ensure students are given multiple opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills they will need to successfully complete the course, apply what they have learned and demonstrate they are developing the skills necessary to be successful.
Other duties as needed to support program success.
- Deliver course/workshop instruction for variable topics, including developing lesson plans, maintaining student records, tracking grades, communicating expectations, and providing feedback on progress.
- Deliver course content per approved curriculum and college policy; assure successful completion of identified student learning outcomes.
- Maintain records of student performance (test administration, posting grades in the online system if applicable) and keep student records as required by the program (grades, attendance, waivers, etc.).
- Manage an effective learning environment, communicate with students electronically and in class; engage students through classroom discussions and activities; adapt curriculum to changing industry trends and standards.
- Ensure timely feedback to students on assignments, quizzes, exams, projects and clearly communicate coursework expectations.
- Maintain open communication with the program manager/coordinator and participate in required training and departmental meetings.
- Demonstrate commitment to program goals, Division, School, and College policies, Mission and Values.
- Provide opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and skills to successfully complete the course and demonstrate growth.

- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 for warehousing.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
- Familiar with manual and automated inventory and warehousing practices and procedures.
- Adult learning/teaching experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional certification such as APICS CPIM or OSHA Warehouse Safety.
- Experience working with special needs adults.
- Familiarity or past work experience with Deseret Industries.
