Job Summary:

The Entrepreneurial Education Coordinator is within the SERDA planning division and supports workforce development services funded through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. This role provides coordination and direct support for entrepreneurial education and workforce initiatives designed to help participants develop skills, pursue self-employment opportunities, and increase economic self-sufficiency. The coordinator will assist with developing and maintaining curriculum, delivering courses and workshops, recruiting eligible participants, collecting program metrics, and supporting grant requirements.

This position works directly with participants, community partners, and SERDA staff to expand access to practical entrepreneurial and workforce education throughout Southeast Utah.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of entrepreneurship, workforce readiness, and self-employment curriculum, courses, workshops, and educational programming.
  • Deliver entrepreneurship and workforce education courses, workshops, training sessions, and related activities for TANF-eligible participants.
  • Adapt existing curriculum and instructional materials to meet the needs of different participants, communities, and levels of business or workforce experience.
  • Assist with recruiting eligible participants for TANF-funded entrepreneurship, workforce development, training, mentoring, and related programs.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective participants through community organizations, educational institutions, workforce partners, employers, and other regional networks.
  • Support participant onboarding, registration, scheduling, communications, documentation, and follow-up activities associated with TANF-funded programs.
  • Coordinate workshops, courses, training sessions, and community education events, including logistics, instructional materials, participant communications, attendance records, and scheduling.
  • Assist with identifying and coordinating mentors, guest speakers, business owners, employers, and subject-matter experts to support educational programming.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to participants as they develop entrepreneurial, employment, and workforce skills.
  • Track participant enrollment, attendance, course completion, employment outcomes, business formation, skill development, and other required program measures.
  • Collect and maintain program metrics necessary for TANF grant reporting, program evaluation, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct participant surveys, assessments, and other evaluation activities to measure program effectiveness and participant outcomes.
  • Compile and summarize program data for internal reporting and assist with preparing drafts of quarterly, annual, grant, and stakeholder reports.
  • Maintain organized records of curriculum, instructional materials, participant information, eligibility documentation, program activities, outcomes, and other required records.
  • Assist with developing training materials, presentations, handouts, exercises, assessments, and other instructional resources.
  • Support efforts to expand access to entrepreneurial and workforce education throughout Southeast Utah, particularly among populations eligible for TANF-funded services.
  • Serve as a resource for program participants by answering routine questions, connecting individuals with appropriate workforce and community resources, and directing specialized needs to appropriate personnel or partner organizations.
  • Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts focused on TANF-eligible individuals and families, including individuals experiencing employment barriers, underemployment, or other challenges to economic self-sufficiency.
  • Support TANF grant administration by maintaining program documentation, collecting required data, conducting surveys, tracking performance measures, and assisting with reporting requirements.
  • Assist with ensuring program activities and documentation align with established TANF grant requirements and applicable federal, state, and local guidelines.
