Electrical Assembly Technician – Day Shift

Intermountain Electronics (IE) designs and manufactures custom electrical power distribution and control equipment used throughout North America. Our systems support data centers, utilities, mining operations, industrial facilities, energy providers, and other industries where dependable electrical infrastructure is essential.
We are expanding our manufacturing team in Price, Utah and are looking for experienced Electrical Technicians interested in bringing their electrical skills into a stable manufacturing environment.

Your ScheduleDay Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
Every Other Friday Off
This position requires availability for a 40‑hour work week and additional hours when required.
What You'll DoElectrical Technicians work from engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and production documentation to build custom electrical equipment from assembly through final inspection and testing.
Your work will include electrical assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, testing, inspection, and repair. Attention to detail and quality workmanship are essential, as the equipment you build will ultimately serve customers and critical operations throughout North America.
Assembly & WiringIn This Role, You Will
- Install and assemble electrical components within custom power distribution equipment.
- Wire control panels, switchboards, transformers, PLC systems, breakers, relays, and associated electrical assemblies.
- Use electrical schematics, engineering documents, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to complete assigned work.
- Route, identify, terminate, and test electrical wiring.
- Make modifications or repairs to electrical assemblies when necessary.
- Follow schematics and electrical drawings accurately throughout the assembly process.
Electrical Technicians are also responsible for verifying that completed equipment performs as intended and meets IE quality expectations.
Duties include:
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.
- Perform continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, Hi-Pot testing, and operational verification.
- Inspect completed work for compliance with engineering requirements and established quality standards.
- Locate and correct wiring and assembly discrepancies.
- Support final quality inspections before completed equipment is released for shipment.
Electrical Technicians work with a variety of electrical, hand, power, and material‑handling equipment, including:
- Wire strippers
- Crimping tools
- Multimeters
- Volt/Ohm meters
- Hi-Pot testers
- Power drills
- Utility knives
- General hand tools
- Forklifts
- Overhead cranes
- Material hoists
You will be expected to use equipment safely, keep assigned tools in good working order, and properly store tools and equipment at the conclusion of each shift.

High School Diploma
Candidates may qualify at different technician levels based on electrical experience, licensing, and successful completion of applicable IE competency testing.
Electrician in Training- 0–2,000 hours of on‑the‐job electrician experience.
- Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading is a plus but is not required.
- 2,000 hours of on‑the‑job electrician experience.
