Overview
Under the direction of the USU Eastern Director of Campus Life, the Housing Resident Advisor (RA) is a student leadership position. This is a 4-month contracted live‑in position with primary responsibilities focused on community building, student engagement, and supporting residents within Housing.
This specific position serves as the Resident Advisor for the second‑floor male community in Sessions Hall. The RA will work to foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming living environment while serving as a resource, mentor, and leader for residents.
Compensation includes a private room, meal plan, and monthly stipend. Students will be required to work approximately 2–10 hours per week and will be eligible for additional scholarships as well as other part‑time employment opportunities on campus.
This position is for Resident Advisors beginning August 16, 2026.
Responsibilities- Serve on an on‑call team with other Resident Advisors/Hall Directors.
- Perform Health & Safety Checks.
- Report any incidents.
- Build relationships with residents and be a resource to them.
- Assist in the opening and closing of Residence Halls.
- Stay for the duration of the Spring semester to complete the check‑out process.
- Making contact with prospective students through email, phone calls, and text.
- Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Enrolled as a student at USU Eastern.
- Have no active or pending conduct sanctions through the Director of Students' Services Office.
- Dependable.
- Good communication skills.

Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
