Roy, Utah or Colorado Springs, CO. Role supports the Integration and Test organization.
- Design and define system architecture for new or existing Software Products.
- Develop Software in an agile development environment.
- Design automated test procedures for test execution teams.
- Work with the lead test engineer and a team of software developers to establish and develop automated tools.

- Software Engineer: 2 years with Bachelor’s in a related field of study, 0 years with Master’s, 0 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- Principal Software Engineer: 5 years with Bachelor’s in a related field of study, 3 years with Master’s, 1 year with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience with Agile and working in a cross‑function Scrum team.
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of Object‑Oriented Analysis and Design Principles.
- Experience programming in object‑oriented languages (C++, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts.
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiar with Software Development Plans.
- Familiar with Software Engineering best practices.
- Experience demonstrating excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with various stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
- Proficient with DOORS, Cameo with the ability to write and decompose system requirements.
- Ability to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to management.
- Experience with UI design and development, or experience interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation.
- Familiar with Systems Engineering processes.
- Ability to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
- Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determining and developing technical objectives of assignments, and presenting work upon completion for high‑level review.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 – $.
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 – $. The above range is a general guideline;
Northrop Grumman considers scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills and market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and share company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
