Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, the incumbent will manage the day-to-day operations of the Level 1 Outpatient Substance Abuse Program. The incumbent will ensure that the level of care provided is in accordance with the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Joint Commission guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Responsible for overseeing the delivery and documentation of clinical services for program clients.
- Responsible for making a cursory evaluation prior to admission of each client, observing the program's admission and readmission policies.
- Responsible for the quality and appropriateness of clinical services within the Level 1 Outpatient Substance Abuse Program.
- Provides annual trainings for Substance Abuse Program staff as required by governing bodies.
- Conducts comprehensive intake interviews and prepares detailed intake report for each client.
- Develops and conducts program treatment activities relative to client's treatment plan and his/her achievement of a healthier means of coping with problems.
- Develops and conducts individual and group counseling and recreational leisure activities, which best meets the needs of clients.
- Conducts educational lectures and/or audiovisual programs concerning the efforts and consequences of drug addiction.
- Responsible for making available through referral and consultation additional supportive services in accordance with the needs of the individual client (i.e. Employment, Vocational training, Legal Services, Medical care, etc.)
Must provide the very best customer satisfaction to staff, visitors, guests, and patients at all time in a professional and courteous manner. Provide assistance in resolving customer problems relating to program services. Coordinates efforts and interfaces with other departments to resolve problems. Doing things right the first time. Performance will be evaluated by the Program Director or Social Services Director annually wherein a satisfactory overall rating is considered a minimum acceptable level of performance.
