Senior Financial Advisor Role Overview
As a Senior Financial Advisor at our branch in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, you are responsible for understanding the financial goals of your assigned portfolio of members and supporting their achievement. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products, such as consumer lending and investments (including mutual funds).
How you’ll be spending your time Member Experience and Sales- Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning
- Provide account, investment and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs:
- Memberships and accounts including lines of credit
- Consumer investment products including mutual funds
- Complex consumer lending products
- Cards
- Registered products
- Safety deposit boxes
- Mobile banking solutions
- Day to day banking needs
- Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services
- Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow up to ensure member satisfaction
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls
- Ensure a healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)
- Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies
- Provide support, assistance and backup as required for retail team

- 5+ years of Financial Industry Experience in an Advisory Capacity
- Experience working in a customer care/customer service role
- IFIC Licensed and experience selling Mutual Funds with that designation is required
- Experience in Underwriting Loans is required, experience in approving those loans is an asset
- Personal Financial Services Associate designation; or working towards it
- Certified Financial Planner Designation; or working towards it
$67,660 - $84,570 with a 10% Short Term Incentive Target
