Montreal Lake Cree Nation is seeking a qualified and motivated Preventative Services Program Manager to oversee the delivery of community social programs and services. The successful candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff working in child and family services and community support programs.

The Preventative Services Program Manager will supervise the following positions:
C-92 Worker
Prevention Services Program Manager
Jordans Principle Worker
First Nation Representatives
Post-Majority Worker

The Preventative Services Program Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and will work collaboratively with community leadership, external agencies, and community members to ensure programs are delivered effectively and in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, and community priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and performance management to program staff.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of social support programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and First Nation policies and legislation.
  • Monitor program goals, outcomes, and reporting requirements.
  • Support staff in case management, advocacy, and client services.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with families, Elders, leadership, and partner organizations.
  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, and strategic plans related to social programming.
  • Prepare reports and provide regular updates to the Director of Operations.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and community events as required.
  • Promote culturally appropriate and community-based approaches to service delivery.

There will be frequent travel to Montreal Lake and Little Red Reserve. Preferred candidate will possess BSW or BISW.
