Accounting Services Manager

Lead the financial operations at Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority as the Manager of Accounting Services in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This pivotal role focuses on financial planning, compliance, and oversight of accounting functions.

As the Manager of Accounting Services, you will oversee all financial operations for ADEA, ensuring effective management of budgets and compliance with accounting standards. This leadership position requires a strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting, providing recommendations that support strategic decision-making. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will also mentor accounting staff to foster a high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations of the Authority

• Prepare and monitor annual operating and capital budgets

• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies

• Manage year-end audit processes with external auditors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA designation required

• Minimum five years of financial management experience

• Experience in education or not-for-profit sector preferred

• Strong analytical and leadership skills
