Seasonal Water and Sewer Labourer

Join the City of Prince Albert as a Seasonal Water and Sewer Labourer in the Public Works Department. This pivotal role supports the water distribution and wastewater collection systems through crucial maintenance and repairs.

As a Labourer in the water and sewer systems, you'll perform key tasks related to the construction, maintenance, and operation of infrastructure. Candidates at the entry-level must have a Grade 12 education and a valid Driver's License. Within six months, the role requires obtaining Class I Certification for Water Distribution and other essential equipment operation certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct various labouring tasks for construction operations

• Operate equipment for thawing and freezing systems

• Flush and clean the collection systems efficiently

• Assist with street isolation during maintenance work

• Maintain detailed logs of service and maintenance activities

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion and valid Driver's License

• Willingness to obtain Class I Certification within 6 months

• Ability to operate equipment and deal effectively with the public

• Strong skills in working with concrete

• Team-oriented approach for successful collaboration
