Powerline Technician

Position: Full-Time Powerline Technician
Join Sask Power as a Powerline Technician in Prince Albert, offering full-time roles focused on safety and collaboration. Be a part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining essential power infrastructure.

This permanent role involves a variety of line person assignments including installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of overhead and underground systems. Candidates should have a commitment to safety and a journeyed level skill set in power line work as they carry out inspections, repairs, and installations across various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair lines, substations, and services

• Perform live line methods and conduct regular inspections

• Diagnose overhead and underground line faults

• Issue permits and conduct switching as authorized

• Supervise apprentices and maintain work area cleanliness

Requirements:

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate

• Valid Class 1A driver’s licence

• Ability to perform physical demands of the job

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Experience in handling customer complaints and service requests
