Water & Sewer Labourer

Become a vital part of the City of Prince Albert's Public Works Department as a Collection and Distribution Labourer. This full-time role focuses on water and sewer construction, maintenance, and repair operations.

The City of Prince Albert invites applications for this permanent position dedicated to the wastewater collection and water distribution systems. As an entry-level candidate, you will perform various labour tasks and work with heavy equipment. You will develop essential skills in system maintenance and safety protocols while contributing to community welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair operations

• Use equipment for thawing and freezing distribution systems

• Assist in flushing and cleaning collection systems

• Help isolate streets during construction operations

• Maintain logs of service and maintenance work

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and a Driver's License

• Obtain a 3A Driver’s License within 2 months

• Pass Class I Certification in Water Distribution within 6 months

• Knowledge of safety regulations and underground utilities

• Willingness to engage in ongoing safety training
