At First Student, we are hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Prince Albert team. This permanent position offers relocation bonuses for qualified candidates across Saskatchewan. You'll work Monday to Friday, diagnosing and repairing school buses and commercial vehicles, and ensuring they meet high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance and repairs on school buses
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain and repair drive trains and transmissions
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately
• Respond to mobile service calls as needed
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent
• Experience with diesel engines and transit buses
• Own a basic mechanic’s tool set
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to manage mobile service demands
