About this Role
Site Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a newly established industrial distribution company serving Northern British Columbia. Our client specializes in supplying corrugated steel pipe and culvert solutions for major infrastructure, construction, and resource sector projects across the region.
The company was formed to address a clear gap in the market. Contractors and project owners in Northern BC have historically experienced long lead times and limited flexibility from existing suppliers. Our client was created to deliver a more responsive, service-driven approach, ensuring critical infrastructure materials can be delivered reliably and on schedule. This is a foundational hire for the organization and an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated salesperson who wants to play a key role in building and expanding a new business.
The successful candidate will focus on developing relationships, identifying project opportunities, and closing sales with contractors, engineers, procurement teams, and project stakeholders across Northern BC.
The role reports directly to company leadership and offers the opportunity to shape the growth strategy of the business, with the potential to help build and lead a sales team in the future as the company continues to expand.
Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Northern BC, focusing on major infrastructure and industrial projects
- Develop relationships with contractors, procurement teams, engineers, and project owners in sectors such as forestry, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure
- Promote corrugated steel pipe and culvert solutions to clients across forestry, mining, oil and gas, and major infrastructure sectors
- Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, relationship development, proposal preparation, and closing contracts
- Work with manufacturers and internal teams to ensure accurate quoting, material availability, and project timelines
- Coordinate with logistics and yard operations to ensure materials are delivered to project sites on time
- Track project pipelines and identify upcoming opportunities across the region
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while expanding the company’s customer base
- Represent the company at industry meetings, site visits, and project discussions
- Provide input into sales strategy, performance metrics, and market expansion plans as the company continues to grow
- Support the long-term development of the sales organization, including potential future team expansion
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or construction-related sales
- Demonstrated success in business development and closing project-based sales
- Strong relationship-building skills with contractors, procurement specialists, and project stakeholders
- Experience working with industries such as forestry, mining, oil and gas, or infrastructure projects is strongly preferred
- Understanding of logistics coordination and material delivery for project sites is an asset
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a start-up style environment where you help build the business
- Ability to travel regularly across Northern British Columbia
- Preferred locations include Prince George, Smithers, Terrace, or other communities in Northern BC.
- A strong hunter salesperson who enjoys opening doors and building new business
- Someone with relationships in Northern BC’s construction, infrastructure, or resource sectors

- Someone who wants to build a territory and potentially grow into a leadership role as the company expands
- Compensation: OTE $100k-$150k per year, base salary $70k-$100k (based on experience) plus commission based on a percentage of revenue generated through sales
