Field Support Safety Manager

Position: Field Support Safety Manager BC Hydro
Enhance safety protocols with BC Hydro as a Field Support Safety Manager in Prince George. Drive safety initiatives for the North Coast Transmission Line project across diverse contractor teams.

In this full-time, temporary role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety management excellence in a multifaceted environment. Your leadership will guide the safety team while establishing compliance with safety regulations and improving relationships with key stakeholders. Engage in safety oversight and develop effective plans to meet the demands of a growing region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety plans with a focus on compliance

• Provide guidance to contractors on safety processes

• Assess and resolve high-risk safety situations

• Support team development through training and mentorship

• Collaborate across teams to enhance workplace safety

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of seven years in safety and health integration

• Proven leadership experience in safety management

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Valid B.C. Driver’s License without restrictions
