Position: HAZMAT Technician for Emergency Response
Elevate emergency response efforts as a HAZMAT Technician on GFL’s elite team. Your expertise with hazardous materials plays a crucial role in timely and safe responses.

The GFL HAZMAT Emergency Response Team is seeking a skilled Technician to respond to emergencies around the clock. In this role, you will use your planning and safety skills to manage hazardous situations effectively. Your ability to organize resources and maintain equipment readiness will ensure that emergency responses meet GFL’s high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to HAZMAT emergencies with urgency

• Manage chemical transloading processes

• Maintain emergency equipment in peak condition

• Organize and coordinate emergency response resources

• Participate in training drills and emergency operations

Requirements:

• Clean Class 5 driver’s license;
Class 1 or 3 advantageous

• Experience in hazardous material handling

• Physically capable to use protective gear

• Flexibility for on-call shifts and travel

• Prior training in HAZMAT preferred
