We are looking for an experienced Wildfire Coordinator to facilitate and support wildfire management efforts. You will engage in developing Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans and assist with planned burn operations. Your organizational skills and wildfire knowledge will help in managing multiple projects and ensuring a safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support planning and execution of wildfire management initiatives
• Develop Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans and risk assessments
• Assist with prescribed and industrial burning operations
• Facilitate regulatory compliance and documentation
• Coordinate field team activities and communications
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Forestry or Natural Resource Management
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of regulatory compliance in BC
• Communication skills for team collaboration
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license required
