Job Summary
As a Financial Services Representative at CIBC’s Personal and Business Banking team, you’ll work in a fast‑paced Banking Centre where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives.
Responsibilities- Client engagement – Meet with clients to understand their personal and business priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward‑looking financial plan. Use your knowledge of cash management, credit, investment and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals.
- Relationship building – Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients they are valued and provide community outreach. Grow your network, deepen existing relationships, and work as one team to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities.
- Leveraging technology – Become a technology expert. Share your knowledge by introducing clients to mobile banking applications, helping them better manage their banking needs.
- Client‑first mindset – You put our clients first and engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
- Goal oriented and detail‑focused – You go the extra mile, motivate yourself by achieving goals, and notice details that others don’t.
- Critical thinking and authenticity – You build trust through respect and authenticity, and your critical thinking informs decision making.
- Passionate about people and learning – You enjoy relationships, grow knowledge, and have no limit to what you can achieve.
- Certifications – Current accreditation with mutual funds; e.g., Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada.
- Experience – 1 year of client‑facing sales experience. Banking experience an asset.
