Maintenance Team Lead
PGNFC Maintenance Team
Full Time – 40 hours // $45.00+
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director, the Maintenance Team Lead oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the Maintenance Team while also participating in hands‑on maintenance work as needed. This role provides leadership, coordination, and technical support to ensure the safe, efficient, and proactive upkeep of all PGNFC facilities, grounds, and fleet vehicles. Working closely with the Assistant Executive Director to support maintenance planning, contractor and vendor coordination, project management, and the implementation of new asset management strategies, proactive maintenance practices, and maintenance software systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day oversight, guidance, and support to the Maintenance Team
Assign, prioritize, and monitor work orders and maintenance activities
Support and participate in an on‑call rotational schedule among maintenance personnel
Assist with Asset Management project planning and grant‑writing activities
Utilize and manage computerized maintenance software and work order systems
Support the implementation of new asset management strategies and proactive maintenance practices
Qualifications
Demonstrated computer proficiency, including the ability to use and manage maintenance software programs
Proven positive leadership style with a forward‑thinking approach
Experience leading or coordinating staff and/or contractors with professionalism and integrity
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of WorkSafeBC, WHMIS, and occupational health and safety standards
Valid Driver's License (Class 4 preferred)
